Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Skyfield Digital ("Skyfield," "we," "us") covering your use of the FIGHT mobile app, the website at thefight.app, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use FIGHT

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have a parent or guardian's permission. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that you are not barred from using it under any applicable law.

2. Your account

  • Give us accurate information and keep it current.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
  • One account per person. Do not share accounts or create accounts for someone else without permission.
  • Tell us right away at hello@thefight.app if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

You can delete your account at any time from More → Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account does not cancel a FIGHT Pro subscription; see section 5.

3. The Service

FIGHT lets you log combat sports training sessions and see statistics computed from them. Core logging and stats are free. Some features are only available with a FIGHT Pro subscription. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what the free tier offers.

4. Training, injury, and health

FIGHT is a record-keeping and statistics tool. It is not a coach, a medical device, or a substitute for professional instruction. Combat sports carry real risk of injury. You are solely responsible for how you train, who you train with, and whether you are fit to do so. Statistics, skill radars, weak-spot lists, and Fight Camp AI answers are derived from the data you enter and are informational only. Do not rely on them to make decisions about your health or safety. Consult a qualified coach or medical professional for that.

5. FIGHT Pro subscriptions

FIGHT Pro is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system and billed to your Apple ID.

  • Free trial. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you will be charged for the plan you selected.
  • Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly, every 3 months, every 6 months, or yearly, depending on the plan you chose) at the price shown at purchase, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • How to cancel. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select FIGHT, and tap Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app or your FIGHT account does not cancel the subscription. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Price changes. If we change the price, Apple will notify you and, where required, ask you to agree before the new price applies.
  • Refunds. Purchases are handled by Apple, so refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly.
  • Restore purchases. If you reinstall the app or switch phones, tap Restore Purchases on the FIGHT Pro screen.
  • Gym-granted Pro. A gym or coach account may grant Pro access to its members. That access ends when the membership ends or the gym stops paying, and it is not refundable to the member.

6. Your content

You own the training logs, notes, photos, posts, messages, game plans, and other content you put into the Service ("Your Content"). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process Your Content so we can run the Service, compute your stats, show your posts to the people you share them with, and generate Fight Camp AI answers for you. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies held in backups for the period described in the Privacy Policy and content that others have already re-shared.

You are responsible for Your Content. Do not post anything you do not have the right to post.

7. Community rules

FIGHT has social features, and we take them seriously. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You agree not to post, send, or do any of the following:

  • Harassment, threats, bullying, or hate speech directed at anyone, inside or outside the app.
  • Sexual content, or any content that sexualizes minors.
  • Content that encourages violence outside of sanctioned training or competition, self-harm, or illegal activity.
  • Spam, scams, or unsolicited promotion.
  • Another person's private information without their consent.
  • Impersonation of any person, gym, or organization.
  • Content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
  • Anything that interferes with the Service, including scraping, reverse engineering, or attempts to bypass Pro gating.

Every post, comment, and message has a report option, and you can block any user from their profile. We review reports promptly, remove content that breaks these rules, and may suspend or permanently ban accounts, usually within 24 hours of a report. We may also remove content or restrict accounts without a report if we become aware of a violation.

8. Gyms and coaches

If you create a gym in the app, you confirm that you are authorized to represent it. Gym owners and coaches can see members' attendance and membership status. Gym owners are responsible for the announcements, classes, and content their gym posts and for how they use member data. Skyfield is not a party to any agreement between a gym and its members.

9. Fight Camp AI

Fight Camp AI generates answers using an AI model and the summary statistics in your account. Answers may be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. They are not coaching, medical, or legal advice. Do not enter other people's personal information into Fight Camp AI. Pro subscribers have a daily usage allowance that may change over time.

10. Our intellectual property

The FIGHT app, name, logo, design, code, and everything in the Service that is not Your Content belongs to Skyfield Digital or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, in line with the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, or reverse engineer it, except where the law says we cannot stop you.

11. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we can use them without any obligation to you. We appreciate them.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we shut the Service down, with reasonable notice where possible. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost. Keep your own records of anything important.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Skyfield Digital and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service, including any injury sustained while training. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50 USD. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless Skyfield Digital from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

16. Apple-specific terms

Because the app is distributed through the App Store, the following also apply:

  • These Terms are between you and Skyfield Digital only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • Skyfield, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer protection claims.
  • If a third party claims the app infringes its intellectual property, Skyfield, not Apple, is responsible for handling that claim.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to email us at hello@thefight.app so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If that fails, any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in this section takes away consumer rights you have under the law of the place where you live.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, delete your account before the change takes effect.

19. General

These Terms are the whole agreement between you and Skyfield Digital about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the Service.
