Privacy Policy

FIGHT is a combat sports progress tracker made by Skyfield Digital ("Skyfield," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the FIGHT mobile app and the website at thefight.app (together, the "Service"), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed. If anything is unclear, email hello@thefight.app.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Skyfield Digital, Meriden, Connecticut, United States. Skyfield Digital is the data controller for the personal information described here.
2. What we collect
We only collect what the app needs to work. Here is the full list.
Information you give us
- Account details: email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), username, and an optional profile photo.
- Athlete profile: the disciplines you train, belt or rank, stripes or dans, stance, competition level, the gym you train at, and how long you have been training.
- Training log: every session you record, including session type, training partner (as you name them), rounds, outcome, techniques landed or failed, taps, strike counts, knockdowns, and any notes you write.
- Game plans and schedule: technique trees, saved plans, and class schedules you create.
- Social content: posts, comments, votes, direct and group messages, friend requests, and gym announcements you write or send.
- Gym data: if you create or manage a gym, the gym name, listing details, classes, members, coaches, and attendance.
- Fight Camp AI prompts: the questions you type into Fight Camp AI and the answers returned.
- Reports and blocks: if you report content or block another user, we keep a record so we can act on it.
- Support messages: anything you send to hello@thefight.app.
Information collected automatically
- Device and app data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, and a device push token if you turn on notifications. This comes from Apple, Google, and Expo services that deliver the app and its updates.
- Diagnostics: crash and error logs, without the contents of your training log or messages.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active FIGHT Pro subscription, the plan, trial status, and renewal date. We receive this from Apple through RevenueCat. We never see your payment card or full Apple ID.
- Website basics: if you join the email list on thefight.app, your email address and the date you signed up.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your precise location.
- We do not collect your contacts, photos beyond the one you choose for your profile, or health data from Apple Health or Google Fit.
- We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA or GAID) and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, in the UK or EU), we rely on performance of our contract with you for the core features, your consent for notifications and marketing email, and our legitimate interests in keeping the Service secure and working.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers. We share data only with the providers below, each of which processes it on our instructions.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights and safety of users. If Skyfield Digital is ever acquired or merges with another company, your data would transfer with the Service and this policy would continue to apply until it is updated.
5. Other users can see some of your data
FIGHT has social features. Your username, profile photo, disciplines, and rank are visible to other users. Posts and comments are visible to the community. Messages are visible to the people in that conversation. If you join a gym in the app, the gym's coaches and members can see your membership and attendance. Your individual training log and stats are private unless you choose to share them. You can adjust privacy switches in More → Settings.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and training data: for as long as your account exists.
- Messages and posts: until you delete them or delete your account. Content you posted in group spaces may remain visible without your name if others quoted it.
- Subscription records: for as long as required for tax and accounting, typically seven years, in anonymized form after account deletion.
- Diagnostics: up to 90 days.
- Reports and blocks: for as long as needed to keep the Service safe, even after the reporting account is deleted.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: open More → Settings → Delete account. This removes your profile, training log, game plans, posts, messages, gym memberships, and push token from our systems within 30 days. Backups are purged on their normal cycle, no longer than 90 days. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.
If you cannot access the app, email hello@thefight.app from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Deleting your account does not cancel a FIGHT Pro subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple; see section 10.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, download, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can do most of this yourself in the app. For anything else, email hello@thefight.app. We respond within 30 days and will never charge you for a reasonable request.
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have the rights described in the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA.
9. Children
FIGHT is rated 13+ and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email hello@thefight.app and we will delete it. Users between 13 and the age of majority in their region should use the Service with a parent or guardian's permission.
10. Subscriptions and payments
FIGHT Pro is billed by Apple through your Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy governs the payment transaction. We receive confirmation of the purchase, the plan, and the renewal or expiry date so we can unlock Pro features. We never receive your card number.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Row-level security rules mean your data is only returned to your own authenticated session. Passwords are hashed. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your account has been compromised, change your password and email us right away.
12. International transfers
Our servers are in the United States. If you use FIGHT from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses with our providers to protect that transfer.
13. Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date means you accept the updated policy.
